I dealt with wars and revolutions for most of my 15 years in the US Foreign Service. I learned a lot, including the primal lesson that you should never get into a war without knowing what you’re doing and why.
Most of what you read today on Iran is woefully uninformed, or—in the case of messages from Donald Trump—outright lies.
Of course I don't have all the answers. But I'm honest, informed, experienced in the right fields and not afraid to tell the truth. This 50 minute interview is my current thinking on what’s going on in Donald Trump’s war in Iran.
